Position Summary for Ability Tools AT & PH State Leadership Program Coordinator (CFILC)
Salary: $21.75 hourly – $25.60 hourly, depending on experience. This is a Regular Full-Time Non-Exempt position. CFILC has a generous benefit program and pays 100% of all medical, dental, and life insurance for their employees.
Location: Sacramento, CA
Description: Under the direction of the AT Program Manager, the AT & PH State Leadership Program Coordinator works with the AT State Level Program Coordinator to facilitate trainings and public awareness events. Tracks, reports, and maintains Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and COVID-19 test kit options for Independent Living Centers and Device Lending Demonstration Centers (DLDCs).

The mission of CFILC is to increase access and equal opportunity for people with disabilities by building the capacity of Independent Living Centers (ILCs).
• Coordinates PPE and C19 test kits acquisition for Independent Living Centers and Device Lending Demonstration Centers
• Confirming PPE and test kit supplies are received by centers and inventories are ample to meet consumer demand
• Follow up to ensure all supplies are used prior to next order
• Track and update center contact lists
• Build and establish relationships with Public Health and Emergency Management professionals
• Shares the following responsibilities with AT State Level Program Coordinator:
o Participates in and contributes to annual Ability Tools Deliverable implementation plan
o Coordinates public awareness and training activities for CFILC, up to and including ILC, DLDC, DAP, DDAR, CalAgrAbility, DOnet, YO!, and Open-to-the-Public events
o Moderates and facilitates AT Advocate and DLDC Monthly Meetings/trainings (as a team, trading off duties)
o Recruit presenters and trainers for public awareness, training, and conference events
o Secures accessible training venues
o Organizes AT Act activity best practice workshops
o Books accessibility services for trainings and public awareness events
o Implements training evaluations
o Assists in captioning archived training materials
o Writes blogs
o Creates Newsletters
o Creates materials posted to Ability Tools website and social media platforms
o Collaborates with team to provide technical assistance and extensive support to outside organizations
o Informs AT Management and Comms staff of staffing changes at partner programs
o Maintains and works to increase AT vendor relationships
o Develops new partnerships to expand the AT Network
o Promotes and increases usage of NATADS
o Organizes and tracks activities and materials, documenting data in reporting systems and reporting trends or concerns to AT management team
o Provides regular progress reports at Ability Tools team meetings.
o Participates in activities and events, representing CFILC and programs in the community
o Provides technical assistance to ILC staff, including onboarding assistance and resource information acquisition
o Trained to work as backup to I&A Specialist to support Hunt Groups fielding incoming consumer/agency calls
o Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
o Travel as needed throughout California
o Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
An associate degree or equivalent experience with one-two (1-2) years’ experience in public health, assistive technology or a disability related field.

• Experience in using multimedia tools
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
• Experience with diverse, intersectional, marginalized and/or underserved communities
• Must possess high-level multimedia, computer, word processing and online skills
• Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
• Knowledge of information access and assistive technology
Personal experience with a disability

Familiarity with disability rights
Familiar with Independent Living Philosophy
This is a mixed remote/onsite position based out of Sacramento. The onsite office environment is mostly quiet but can get noisy at times.
