Sacramento, CA –
The California Foundation for Independent Living Centers (CFILC) is taking steps to keep our community safe and well during the COVID-19 pandemic. CFILC is working closely with our members and state partners to keep the lines of communication open and the experiences of people with disabilities elevated. We will continue to advocate for the needs of our community and encourage everyone to be socially responsible for each other and their loved ones.
CFILC will be sharing COVID-19 disability related information through our social media pages, which we invite you to share with your networks. We will continue to actively participate in the weekly California Office of Emergency Services, Access and Functional Needs briefs on the outbreak and will share all helpful resources provided.
Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, CFILC will transition to a virtual office. CFILC staff will continue their work remotely through the end of March. We have cancelled all work travel as well as postponed in-person meetings and events.
We appreciate all our partners and allies who have been involved and who have joined us in assuring that the rights of people with disabilities are met throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.
